COMPOSITIONActive substances: Newcastle disease virus, strain "La Sota" ≥ 10
6.0 EID
50 per dose, obtained on SPF chicken embryos.
PHARMACEUTICAL FORMLyophilisate.
IMMUNOBIOLOGICAL PROPERTIESThe vaccine provides protection for vaccinated birds against Newcastle disease.
The intensity and duration of immunity depend on the clinical condition and on the conditions of the birds before and after vaccination.
Has no medicinal properties.
TARGET SPECIESPoultry.
INDICATIONSFor the prevention of Newcastle disease in poultry.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USEIt is not allowed to vaccinate weakened birds, as well as birds with clinical signs of the disease.
Do not use a vaccine two hours after reconstitution, or an expired vaccine.
Do not mix with other medicinal and preventive products.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS DURING THE EGG-LAYING PERIODNo contraindications.
ROUTEOFADMINISTRATIONANDDOSAGEThe vaccine is administered to birds by one of the methods: orally with drinking water, intranasally or by coarse spraying.
The optimal timing of vaccination (revaccination) of poultry in farms is determined depending on the epizootic situation and the intensity of immunity.
According to the results of the study of blood sera in HI test, the effectiveness of immunization of vaccinated birds is determined in percent. Blood sera are taken 2-3 weeks after vaccination.
Group immunity is considered formed, and birds are immune to Newcastle disease if 80% or more of the studied blood serum samples have the following antibody titers after vaccination:
- in chickens under the age of one month – 1:8 and above;
- in chickens from 30 to 60 days of age – 1:8-1:16 (dominating) and above;
- in young birds aged 60 to 140 days – 1:16-1:32 (dominating) and above;
- in adult birds – 1:32-1:64 (dominating) and above.
If the immunization success rate after vaccination is less than 80%, the birds should be revaccinated.
The first vaccination of birds is recommended at 15-21 days of age. After a single dose, the vaccine induces an immune response lasting about 6 weeks.
In endemic areas the vaccine can be used by intranasal or coarse spray methods for vaccination of day-old chicks, with following booster immunizations at 18-21 days of age.
Oral methodOn the day of vaccination, the contents of the vials with the vaccine are dissolved in clean, drinking water cooled to room temperature. The vaccine is diluted in such a way that one dose of the vaccine per bird is contained in the volume of drinking water determined the day before vaccination.
Water, used for vaccination should not contain chlorine and iron ions as well as residues of antibiotics and disinfectants. Before vaccination, drinkers should be thoroughly washed without the use of disinfectant solutions.
For better vaccination, it is recommended to use INDIGO MAX, an indicator dye, or another of similar quality.
Intranasal methodThe vaccine is dissolved in distilled or boiled cooled water at the rate of: 100 doses – 10 ml, 1000 doses – 100 ml, 2500 doses – 250 ml, 5000 doses – 500 ml. For birds of all age categories, 2 drops are instilled into the nostril; while the second nostril is closed with a finger; in case of nasal congestion, the same volume of vaccine should be instilled into the bird's eye.
Coarse spray methodThe vaccine is dissolved in boiled chilled water that does not contain iron and chlorine ions, at the rate: for chickens up to one month of age, 1000 doses in a volume of 250 to 500 ml, for adult birds 1000 doses in a volume of 500 to 1000 ml. The vaccination is carried out using a sprayer with a calibrated nozzle and constant pressure support. Spray the vaccine from a distance of 30-40 cm above the birds' heads. The approximate vaccination rate is 1000 heads per 1 minute. After spraying the vaccine, the day-old chicks are left to dry for 20 minutes.
WITHDRAWAL PERIODZero days.
SHELF LIFE24 months. After reconstitution, the vaccine should be used within 2 hours.
Store in a dark place, out of the reach of children, at a temperature of 2 to 8°C.
Do not freeze!
